Secret Beach, Bali

I had a 2 week span between my corporate jobs back in 2018, so I took and impromptu trip to visit one of my dearest girl friends living as a digital nomad in Bali. The trip was filled with solo travel moments and treasured quality time with a dear friend. This view from Secret Beach represents the latter. I originally did a plein air sketch of this view with ink, watercolors & graph tint pencils. I wanted this acrylic to reflect the essence of that plein air sketch with really focused on the warm golds of the sun hitting the sand and contract that with the cool tones of the shadows as the sun dipped beneath the cliff.
