Springtime in the Rockies

(acrylic |36 by 48 inches | on board ) Spring time in the Rockies means beautiful bright sunny warm days. Snow still graces the upper elevations while the valley streams and ponds begin to melt. This is a scene in early April near the mouth of Cougar creek in Canmore Alberta, looking towards The Three Sisters mountains. I sketch and photograph in this area near my home. This piece was completed in my studio across the valley.
