When COVID-19 struck this winter, my wife Sue, willingly modeled for figurative pieces staged in the studio. At the Window captures the quiet peace that settled in for sheltering in place. She cut forsythias to force them indoors, lending brilliant yellows to brighten up the room. The piece is painted in oils on linen.
