All the World's a Stage

Secretly tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of the city is a beautiful property elaborately patterned after all things “Italy.” Arches in the buildings and the minutest of landscaping details in the gardens reflect an elderly couple’s lifetime spent recreating one of their most loved places in the world of all their travels. I was privileged to paint en plein air there this past spring, and once I caught my breath, I painted center-stage of their outdoor theatre building where plays such as Romeo and Juliet were re-enacted! It was there I painted ‘All the World’s a Stage.’ Their property is a testament that each of us selects the props and the players in our lives, and we can be very proactively involved in our destiny and the ambiance of our lives! Gifted to my daughter-in-law for her birthday, the rose on the steps represents one of many my son has brought home to her for no reason at all.
