Heirloom Summer

The title 'Heirloom Summer' refers to the type of hollyhock, an old time traditional favourite flower from pioneer times. This one grows in our home garden, and inevitably draws the attention of ruby-throated hummingbirds. The complement of colours of bird, flower, and leaves was the initial inspiration to paint.
