The Birch Path

This oil painting was inspired from a hike on a nature trail that bordered three different ponds. This scene was so enchanting with the rays of the setting sun dancing through the leaves across the path creating spears of multi colours. I returned at the same time for the next few days with sketch pad in hand and my camera making notes on colour and sun effects.
