August Pond

Painted en plein air at Cottage Grove Nature Park (Oregon). It was a lovely summer evening at the pond, I was drawn to this copse of trees, side-lit by the evening sun, and the reflections in the pond. This beautiful spot is near the local airport and the speedway. We were serenaded by a guitar player enjoying the park as well as the sounds of planes, helicopters, and race cars!
