Black Walnut Cove 16x20 oil on canvas (2008). Luminary Sunset. Symbolic of the end of life... the setting of the sun so that the day may be reborn anew the next day. The cycle of life. The sun represents the mother, perhaps Mother Earth, which is odd; because the moon represents the feminine. Interestingly, this portrait of the sun was hung in a private collection, but was returned to me when a relationship with a girlfriend ended and she moved in with a new boyfriend. I welcome my creations home, always, and its not the only painting that has returned to me, under different circumstances.
