Black Walnut Cove 16x20 oil on canvas. I love painting nocturnes plein air. A luminary nocturne on a full moon at a marine location on Tilghman Island in Maryland is like a sweet spot... no headlamps, sitting on the passenger side of the truck with the door open and the interior light on. Finding out the next day that it was green paint around the moon. A happy accident. This portrait of the moon over water hangs in Italy somewhere in a private collection.
