Color Segregation
This transparent watercolor was painted in the studio after a plein air session with a friend. The inspiration for this piece came about during a late summer plein air trip. After an hour of painting I took a break to check out what my friend was working on with her pastels. I chatted with her during the flickering Summer light and noticed the vibrant colors of her pastels and how the placement of the shards told the story of our journey to the site. I snapped several photos and completed it in my studio.
