Remembering Emma is a transparent watercolor that came about while I was thinking about how memories react to time. This painting was one of a series that studied different levels of transparency, reflecting how memories fade. It proved to be more difficult than I had expected. Instead of painting one painting, the melding of images required me to treat it as three paintings while always keepin each in mind.
