Bather

This painting is oil on wooden board. It's a round shape which I often like to use. My original inspiration comes from the historical Bather paintings. Bather is a figure symbolically bathing in light. The presence of water is there but that's not visible. I paint from the model in steady natural light. I find it's meditative process to find the right color temperature and values while working from the life model.
