Just before painting this plein air alla prima painting, I planted our sugar snap peas, which our dog loves to eat. The planter looked so beautiful in the sunlight. I placed the cloth over the hay as a metaphor for the flowers that will come. I love this stage of the garden…so hopeful. (And yes, I am wearing a snowmobile suit …it really keeps me warm while painting.)
