Simple Joys

I was taken by the loveliness of these flowers and had wanted to paint this little bird for sometime, so it seems perfect to place them together for this piece. I focused a great deal on the use of temperature to turn the form of the bird, while I leaned more on color and texture to capture the flowers, while keeping the jar of water subtle as it moved back into the shadows.
