Swift Sunny Moments

Pastel painting inspired by a creek that I once frequented - capturing the light coming up on the horizon line, strong shadows drawing one towards the bright light, or perhaps pulling one's eye down through the framework into the leaves in the foreground. I enjoy creating and exploring the use of frames within the painting, or borders surrounding edges, as well as geometric negative shapes and patterns within a normal landscape.
